Operation: Hurricane Week 2

Week 2: This week we’re going grassroots. Well, as grassroots as you can go on the internet 🙂

I’m sure just about everyone has an account at Facebook and My Space so this will be easy to do. I know there’s some other websites like those 2, but they’re who I use and are most well known to people, as well as have millions of users between them.

With Myspace, add an Alexz video to your Profile. You can do this by going Edit Profile then to the Who I’d Like To Meet Section. In that section put in the Video Embed Code, like you’d find on YouTube.

For Facebook, you can simply put in a YouTube link as your status update and it’ll automatically find all the information. It looks great when you post it. If you manually use the “Video” option editing in your own Status update to the video should be possible.

Other sites like Facebook and Myspace probably allow for video updates as well. So if you use those sites take advantage of them by using Alexz videos for your Updates. You can also do this several times and long after this week is over. Myspace also has Bulletins, which is simply a small broadcasted message to all your Friends. Put some videos and songs of Alexz’s linked in those from time to time as well.

How this helps Alexz: Like I said, this is grassroots. Myspace Bulletins have a way of being resent over and over again if they’re something really worth watching. If the Bulletin repeats more people see it due to the overlapping of Friends across the network. Done properly, a good Bulletin can spread like a virus across Myspace as more and more people get it. The goal would be to make one of these viral Bulletins be of a great Alexz performance 🙂 Your Profile is a targeted attempt to get any friends you have that are not interested into learning more about her. The Facebook Updates are similar to Myspace Bulletins except they can’t be resent by whoever gets them. In both of these situations we’re trying to get people interested on a small scale to work it up to a big scale. We’re pushing the snowball down the hill basically and looking for any indication it’s picking up speed.

Finally, don’t be afraid to ASK for your video or Bulletin to be resent. You’d be surprised what happens if you simply ask the people getting the Updates what you want them to do next. Encourage listening to her and watching her in action, then tell them what you want to do with the videos after they view them.

Feedback in the Comments please 🙂
