Once midnight hit, Boogie Love (The Demolition Crew Remix) became available worldwide and within minutes, comments started coming in.

Here’s what some have said about Boogie Love (The Demolition Crew Remix):

“I didn’t know what to expect from the remixed song or the Demolition Crew. Taking Boogie Love to the 70s was a great idea that I think really works for the song. It really sounds like a song you might have heard in the1970s. I’m very happy with how it came out. I’ll still play the old version but the new version will definitely get some play too.” –Robby (www.alexz.net)

“Oh my God this song is amazing, wonderfull, delicious, so 70’s, great, ooh I don’t know what more to say. It’s just fantastic, so is the video..I love everything about this song/video. I have to say that I wasn’t expecting something like that, this song was a big surprise. It makes me wanna dance 🙂 I hope this hit the radio.” –Carlos Santos

“OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I just saw Alexz Johnson’s new music video for Boogie Love and I absolutely love it!!! It’s sooo amazing. I was rocking out and dancing to it. At first when I heard it I thought “what song is this?” because it didn’t sound anything like the original. This makes me so much more excited for the rest of the album. I never thought I would hear a different side to her album but it’s really great. As I was listening to it (I listened to it a couple times, and I’m listening to it now lol) my mother came in the room and said, “what is this? this is my kind of music.” I was laughing so hard! This is defintely an awesome song and a great music video. I can’t wait for what’s in store next for the great Alexz Johnson.” –Sean Colony A.K.A. @MrLaydeeSpencer

“Having been an Alexz Johnson fan for years now I have quickly figured out how truly talented and gifted she is. She never seizes to amaze me, and just when I think I’ve seen it all from her she releases the Boogie Love remix! I’m just blown away and so excited for all the success going her way, she truly deserves it! Congrats Alexz can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!” –Cristina (@insideofus)

“I have had high hopes for this song being a single since Voodoo was original released, I thought a music video would have been extremely fun and catchy! When Demo and Alexz announced all of the songs would be remixed, including Boogie Love, I felt as a fan, unsure. Why not just release new songs to us? But as a audiophile, I saw how passionate Alexz was about this record and how she wanted it to do well.

I think I was the only person who was happy when Alexz first announce Boogie Love as a single, and I can understand why other fans weren’t. It wasn’t radio on it’s own, but the remixer version was going to be big. I just had a feeling.

Then the song was released. Demo combined influences from the 70s while keeping Boogie Love what it is, a fun get up and dance track. Not a “let’s grind and have babies on the dancefloor” dance track, a “let’s have a good time and enjoy how fun music is” dance track. I wasn’t anything less than impressed by it. It’s more catchy now, even if it’s the same lyrics, Demo and his crew really worked their magic.

The song is all about wanting the “boogie love”, which has never been defined yet, but it surely is not love. I don’t care if you do not give your LOVE to me, I can get my BOOGIE BOOGIE LOVE for FREE”. So there surely is a difference.

The video itself is a big party and Alexz includes all of her friends in it. You can hear her friends in the song as well!I couldn’t be more happy with this track–thanks Alexz for all you do for us fans, and thanks Stephen for always listening to us fans. You both make an incredible team!” –Joe (alexzworld.com)

“I stayed up late in order to buy Alexz’s new single and video. A bunch of fans started a video chat, so it was awesome and the time flew by. Stephen and Alanna even showed up…that made our night, along with the Alexz phone call…
I listened to the song and video immediately after downloading and I have to say that I LOVE it. It is super catchy and is something that makes me want to get up and dance. I really liked how there were so many people we already knew in the video, like Mark and Miku, etc…The 70’s theme for the video really fit and it worked really well with the song. I am so pleased with how it turned out and can’t wait to hear more from the new album.” –Seleana Chermak

“I am in love with this remix and the new music video! Alexz Johnson is so uniquely talented, that it definitely stands out from mainstream music. Watching and listening to this new mix makes me so excited to see what else Alexz will conjure up in the years to come!” –Jasmin Rowley
