Although Johnson is not new to the music industry, her career as a recording artist is just taking off. I find it important to mention her as an artist to watch because as her career as an artist unfolds, you will undoubtedly be hearing more of her (including one of her songs being featured in the season finale of “Degrassi: The Next Generation”).

Johnson is one of the music industry’s best kept secrets, it seems. She has been making music for a decade now, found success in acting (which is where most of her fan base has come from) and has had several cd’s come out. However, her greatest passion and arguably her greatest talent has been virtually ignored. Until this past March, she had yet to release a solo album that she could claim as hers and not a byproduct of her TV series, “Instant Star”.
