Not only did yesterday mark the official international release of Boogie Love (The Demolition Crew Remix) as it hit iTunes Canada, Alexz went live from L.A on Tinychat, with hundreds of her fans.

“The night started off with an awesome tinychat with the fans, all the regulars were there. We were all very nervous especially when @Insideofus started freaking out, we tried to keep our composure as we refreshed Alanna’s, Alexz’s, and of course Indiscovers twitter for the link of the chat. We counted down, cried, shook, and even squealed like the loyal fangirls we are (even though there was one guy in there). Dutchguy came in our chat to witness all the freaking out and to also try to calm us down. Time grew closer and we became more and more antsy to speak to the one and only Alexz Johnson. I didn’t make the first group but I watched, laughed, and cried along with the regulars that did make the group. And it was still cool getting to type to Alexz, while I patiently waited my turn to get a video spot. Oh and when that time came, I bawled like the fan we all are. Alexz got this quirky look on her face and then said hello to me and mentioned she followed me on twitter, that is now my ringtone on my phone. All in all, it was a good time for Alexz and her fans to speak to her and hopefully next time will be even better and give more people a chance to ask her questions and I can’t wait till she does it again!” ManyMoodsofAJ

“Hi guys”! Only two words and I no longer knew the difference between up and down. I don’t know if it’s quite possible to live without a beating heart, but I think mine had stopped beating for well over five minutes. There she was, on my computer screen, in a live chat, ready to interact with her fans. Alexz Johnson. Just typing out her name right now puts a smile on my face. I couldn’t believe what was happening. You know that person that you grow up watching, the one that you admire through your radio speakers, or from your TV screen, and you say to yourself, “I don’t care how long it takes, one day I’m going to meet them! That would be a dream come true”! Well Alexz is that for me. It took me a few moments to compose myself but I finally managed to get it together, because I knew it was now or never. Due to technical difficulties in the chat, the sound and picture kept cutting in and out, but I honestly didn’t mind. This was beyond my wildest dreams. The squealing and laughing and stares of awe, only heightened my emotions as Alexz prepared herself to answer questions. With the exception of minor delays between questions and answers, I finally took a deep breath and introduced myself to her. Ok well, to be quite honest I don’t think I even told her my name, the first words out of my mouth were “Alexz I just have to tell you how much I love you”! Her response? She smiled and called me sweet, the most genuine response I could imagine, and my life felt complete. I wish that I had the time to tell her what her music means to me and how I feel indebted to her music and talent for getting me through some of the roughest times in my life, but there were other fans in the room just as hungry as I was to simply say hi or ask some questions. I did manage to ask however, if she was planning on releasing Mary, a song she has only played live a few times, any time soon? Her response was priceless, her eyes lit up, a huge smile took center stage, and she responded with an excited “yes”! She explained that the song will be on her next album, which she is already currently working on. I smiled, thanked her, mumbled a few more “I love you’s” and managed to ask if planned on playing in Boston anytime soon, and if she could follow me on twitter. Those were all answered with a smile and a “yes”! When my turn on camera came to an end I watched as other fans filled up the spots on the chat. As I stopped and observed other fans have their turn on camera asking questions about old demos such as “Shianne” and ‘Running With The Devil” I couldn’t help but feel proud. Proud to be an Alexz Johnson fan. Proud to have met some of the greatest people with such a wicked passion for Alexz and her music. No matter where we’re from, we were all brought to the same place last night for one purpose only. It wasn’t about talking to a celebrity or connecting with people from other parts of the world, it was about Alexz’s fans finally having the chance to say thank you. Thank you for sharing and blessing us with your art.”
