“So Weird” Disney Veteran Alexz Johnson Makes A Comeback (Article)
Hey, Zoog Disney fans – remember the little blonde girl from “So Weird?”
You should, since she’s only one of the few Disney Channel stars to do something post her Zoog glory days.
Alexz Johnson started out slowly, graduating to The N’s “Instant Star,” in 2004 to 2008. The show earned her a little fame with her four albums of songs that she sung on the show. But, since then, not much news or music has come from her – until now.
The native Canadian took Twitter’s top searches by storm Tuesday after she shared a video of her playing her new single ”Thief” featuring Jimmy Robbins, according to an LA Times blog.
“It’s insane… My music finally has a chance to be heard!!” she said.
Little does she know some old “So Weird” fans have been following her a lot longer than a few days ago, but I’m not going to point a finger at myself out of embarrassment.
In addition to topping the Twitter searches, because that’s not enough new media fame, fans petitioned for the singer to get a verified account on the social networking site.
I don’t think this instant star is going anywhere for a while – her newest album “Reloaded” is set to release April 26.
