Alexz Johnson Island

Tonight at 8pm Eastern Time Alexz held her first “Ask Alexz” on Twitter. For approximately 52 minutes she answered fan questions sent to her. It was a great time. I’m going to try to get to the highlights of the questions she answered.

• *Dogs over cats. She tries not to curse a lot
• *Her all time favorite singers are Diana Ross and/or Sheena Easton. She accompanied the reply with this video.
• *She wants “Back of the Room” on her next EP
• *If she could be any fictional character she’d be Ariel from The Little Mermaid
• *Her favorite song featured on Instant Star was Where Does It Hurt?
• *She is making big steps to tour the US
• *She is “tapping into a sound… currently plotting my plan for making this next batch of songs – looking for the right producer!” regarding her next album
• *We’ll have to wait and see if she will be featured on Jimmy Robbin’s upcoming EP
• *She working on a way to get fans involved with her next album
• *The thing she misses the most about living in Vancouver is the ocean
• *The chorus to Lost and Found is about “life… running in circles, waiting for your time..”
• *”I can’t quite plan any shows yet…. but 2012 is going to be awesome.. ;)”
• *She was a little doubtful at first about releasing the material in The Basement Recordings “but I feel like it’s important to be able to let things go..”
• *Her biggest accomplishment in 2011 was learning to love herself
• *Stevie Nicks inspired Superstition
• *”I actually didn’t know piranha meant promiscuous girl in Brazil, but that was the intention!!” regarding Mr. Jones
• *She wants to make Ask Alexz a habit in the future
