Ask Alexz Round 4
Another round of Ask Alexz happened tonight! Alexz took to Twitter and answered a ton of fan questions. Here are the highlights from the latest Ask Alexz.
**She is 5′ 5 1/2″ tall.
**What is your favorite Kate Bush album? What song of hers would you cover if you could? “Favorite KB album? Hounds of Love… Favorite KB song.. Hounds of Love..”
**The Basement Recordings 2 will be released in April.
**She appreciated and liked Avril Lavigne’s early material.
**Have you thought about trying to get onto tours like Warped? “I have thought of that before… I often wonder if my style of music would fit in?”
**What’s your favourite songs to listen to before sleeping? “Ray Lamontagne – Till The Sun Turns Black”
**What are your favourite fragrances? Like of body butters, perfumes and lotions. “Yumm, I like vanilla’s and earthy – not a fruity girl!”
**She spent New Years with some close friends, nowhere near the famous Ball drop that happens in New York City.
**Do you have something you cannot leave the house without? “Burt’s Bee’s lip balm, leather gloves, scarf!”
**If any, what band has inspired your music? “Fleetwood Mac”
**Are you vegetarian? Vegan? Recommend any personal recipes? “I mostly eat a very vegetarian diet, vegan depending on where I am. A recipe? Quinoa w/turmeric & curry.. delish.”
**She has been looking into doing some cover songs.
**She doesn’t dye her hair but often cuts her own bangs.
**She keeps in contact with people from Instant Star.
**What’s your Mom’s favorite song you’ve written? What’s your Dad’s favorite song you’ve written? “My Mom’s favorite song is probably “Walking”, and “Chicago”, my Dad loves “Voodoo” and I forget…”
**Her focus is to get on tour right now.
**What do you do to relax when you have free time? “Bath’s, candles, write in my journal (my journal is my therapist)”
**Her favorite Demi Lovato song is “Skyscraper”. The vocals gave her shivers.
**”Lighthouse” was not intended to be on the EP.
**Do you have any other artistic outlets, or any you would like to attempt? “I really enjoy editing, and creating visuals to go with music, like the Skipping Stone video”
**If you are overseas you will be able to get the EP through her Kickstarter campaign.
**Her favorite Broadway shows are The Lion King and Jersey Boys… (so far)
**She really wants to see Spain. She doesn’t speak Spanish.
**Who/what inspires you the most? “Faith, my family, love, hope..”

**What are your favorite/what lyrics are you most proud of that you’ve written? “A lot of the stuff from Weight.. these new EP songs are special to me lyrically as well. They captured a specific time for me.”
**If you had to pick a pop song to remake such as Britney Spears or Hilary Duff for example which one and why? “I think Hit Me Baby One More time acoustic would be sweet..”
**”Skipping Stone” is the most personal song she’s written.
