Ask Alexz Round 8
Tonight Alexz held her longest “Ask Alexz” yet. I believe she went for 63 minutes answering fan questions. This is a lot to cover so I’ll get to the highlights.

**If you could pick a defining moment in your music career, one that made you go “wow this is it” what would it be?!?! “Raising 67k to tour this summer… 🙂 ”
**Have you started thinking about what you’d want your next album to sound like? “I have a vague idea… definitely along the lines of Shout-meets-Give Me Fire vibe…”
**Have you listened to lana del rey and if you have do you like her? “I really like Born To Die. It reminds me of James Bond. #IloveGoldenEye”
**What you do when you feel your heart broken? “I make sure I feel it. Don’t numb it… feel it. You’ll use that painful experience towards something even bigger than you.”
**If you could would you write a song for the soundtrack of the next Hunger Games movie? “YES”
**How do you balance your busy life of music, film, and your personal life? “WHAT A QUESTION. 😛 I do the best I can.. I make sure to have fun. If it’s not fun, there’s no point, is there??”
**When will the first samples from TBR2 be up? “Should be next week. Thanks for your patience!”
**When roughly can we expect the full tour dates to come out? “In the next few months… not weeks. There’s a lot to get in order..”
**Have you thought of expanding your Editing? Maybe music videos, feature films, etc? “My goodness. Amidst acting, touring and recording.. I have. I love learning.”
**What is the feeling to finally get to tour? “Excitement. Overwhelming. Joy.”
**What comes to your mind when you’re performing? “Make it worth their time.”
**Have you ever googled yourself? “Yes :/”
**When will you start doing your calls and skype’s? “When I’m through with filming!”
**Her favorite producer to work with has been Brendan Johnson.
**What do you find most infectious about living New York City?? “The subway. JK. I love the people.”
**Do you ever get nervous when performing? “Everytime.”
**What is your favorite disney movie? “The Lion King & The Little Mermaid!”
**Have you ever had doubts that maybe this WASN’T what you were supposed to do? “Of course.. that’s life. You never know for sure.. it’s what makes our time here so precious though. :)”
**Her favorite Demi Lovato song is Skyscraper.
**If u weren’t singer and actress, what other career would you choose?? “Hmmm…. Chef, Director, Philanthropist, Nurse, Novel writer.. I don’t know! I love a lot of things..”
**What would you have majored in if you had gone to college? “Probably English or History. Those were my favorite subjects to study.”
**Advice for a seriously frustrated songwriter? Feel like I’m too old to start and it hurts. “You’re never too old, are you crazy? You’re probably ripe to write some of your best material ever!”
**Would you ever consider acting on Degrassi, since a bunch of them acted on Instant Star? “I would definitely, should they ask me! 🙂 ”
**Do you usually rehearse/practice many times a week? (And how many hours?) “I find myself playing and writing a lot without knowing… it’s kind of second nature.”
**When/where do you start your tour? “Info and dates will be posted at alexzjohnson.com – tour dates will be up in the next few months! Or sooner!”
**The first song she learned how to play on guitar was Green Day – Time of Your Life.
**If you could be anyone in the world for a day who would it be? “Obama”
**Any chance you’ll do a video for ‘Give Me Fire’? “Yes! That’s the plan.. 🙂 ”
**What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? “No one can tell you that you can’t do it. You can do anything you want to do. We are powerful beyond measure.”
**Is there anything you regret? “I regret not loving myself more while growing up! There’s always room to give yourself more love!! 😉 ”

**Anything you miss about being in Canada? “My family :'( ”
**What is your favorite memory from your Kickstarter campaign? “Making the 30k in the first few days and the LA StageIt 🙂 “
