Tonight Alexz did her first #AskAlexz since the Skipping Stone Tour ended. She answered questions for roughly 45 minutes tonight on a lot of topics. The highlights are below:
**What is your favorite city to be in? “Paris, Brooklyn or Vancouver.”
**What’s something you’ve learned about yourself this year? “I’m certainly resilient.”
**How far into the process for the next album are you? “I’m writing a lot so I have more to pick from.. I’m being really picky with this album.”
**How would you describe ‘love’? “When you care enough to put them first.”
**If you had unlimited funds, what would you do? “Help everyone I love achieve their dreams, buy my Dad a boat, start a charity and buy instruments for kids.. and go to Maui.”
**What do you do to fix your mood when you’re having a bad day? “I go for a run, or talk to someone I’m close with.”
**How old were you when you wrote your 1st song? What was it about? “12. It was called “Trippin'”… We’ll just leave that one there.”
**Do you have your own music on your mp3 player? “Yes. …Is that bad?”
**If you could be anywhere right where would you be? “Warming up to play The Ryman”
**What’s your height? “5’6″!”
**What has been frequent lately on your playlist? “@Lykkeliofficial @delaytrees @boyandbear @fosterthepeople @tompetty”
**Her plans are to release her new album next year.
**What is your favourite meal? “Guacamole. It’s not a meal, but it should be.”
**Do u plan on having children in the future? “I certainly hope so 🙂 ”
**Are you allergic to anything? “milk! But, I still like eating frozen yogurt.”
**Song that you wish you wrote? “Under Pressure”
**Do you collect anything? “old suitcases”
**Do you prefer your hair in redhead, brunette or blonde? “Depends on my mood… lately, my natural blonde. #blondeshavemorefun #butsodobrunettes”
**Is there a particular musician that you would like to perform with or collaborate with? “Gotye would be cool”
**She has no plans to film a video for Please To Meet You.
**Have you written anything with Brendan for your next album? “I’m currently in Toronto writing with @brendanjjohnson”
**What was your biggest regret on the last few years? “Waiting so much..”
**She doesn’t know what her next album will be called yet.
**What were your favorite restaurants across America and Canada on tour? “Cafe’ Gratitude”
**Will you sell the tour merch in your online store? “I will be, yes! Announcing when product is available soon..”
**Lighthouse will probably not be on the new album.
**She loves to shop in Vintage stores.
**She will be going to London in November.
**What’s a typical day like for you? “Lately? Writing and recording.”
