Heart EP Review — NewCanadianMusic.ca

Here is a short, but great review from NewCanadianMusic.ca of the Heart EP:

Former child star Alexz Johnson is certainly growing up; her latest EP, Heart, is her most mature offering to date. The lovelorn country-pop numbers are skillfully executed, with the occasional dip into glossy Adele-styled soul (“Thank You for Breaking My Heart”). The strongest cut though is new single “American Dreamer”, a forceful Springsteen-by-way-of-top 40 tearjerker.

There’s a reason this gal was a NCM Vista Prize contestant in the first round and why the PledgeMusic fund associated with Heart raised 150% of it’s goal; she’s established a solid fanbase that really believes in her. Keep following your heart Alexz – we’re right behind you, along for the ride.
